Dear Neighbors,
Lake Shore Fire Department sincerely thanks all of you who donated to last year’s Annual Fund Drive. Without you, our residents, we would not be able to provide you with the highest in service and care. We believe that our training, equipment and apparatus ranks among the best in Erie County. Your continuing financial support, in conjunction with the unselfish efforts of our VOLUNTEER Fire Fighters and EMS personnel, will enable us to provide you with emergency services protection second to none. We are proud of this…and you should be, too!
To continue to provide the best to you, we must ask that you donate to our organization again this year. We are an ALL VOLUNTEER, non-tax based service that provides Fire, Land/Water Rescue and Emergency Medical Services to our residents. As a non-tax based system the Fire Department saves our residents hundreds of dollars a year in taxes...not to mention the savings on your homeowners insurance by having a local fire station nearby. Of course, if you were one of the over 500 persons, households, businesses or institutions that utilized the services of the Lake Shore Fire Dept. last year these issues weren’t even a consideration. You were simply grateful that there was a Lake Shore Volunteer member available to help using state of the art equipment and training.
Once again, we are asking you to donate to our Annual Fund Drive to enable us to continue to provide you with the level of care in which you have come to expect. We ask that each resident donates 1/10th of one percent of the value of their home. For example, if your home is valued at $80,000, we ask that you donate $80. If your home is valued at $225,000, we ask that you donate $225. We understand that some families can not afford to donate this percent. Nevertheless, we would appreciate a donation from you in any amount that your family can afford. And remember, every donation is tax deductible. It’s never too late to donate – donations are accepted throughout the year.
In previous years fewer than fifty percent of our residents have donated to our annual appeal. This year our goal is to exceed that percentage. As the cost of equipment and training rises we need your support more than ever so we can continue to focus on the important issues of protecting you and your family. Please don’t let us or your neighbors down, donate today.
The Officers and Members of the Lake Shore Fire Department would again like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have supported us in the past and look forward to your continuing support this year. If you haven’t helped before, or are new to our district, we hope this will be the year you’ll be able to say, “I answered the call.” BE “OUR” HERO AND DONATE TODAY
