Dear Neighbors,

Lake Shore Fire Department sincerely thanks all of you who donated to last year’s Annual Fund Drive. Your donations enabled us to purchase equipment, participate in training and maintain firefighting and EMS equipment vital to our community... all at no tax dollar cost to you. We continue to ask for your support this year if we are to remain a viable asset to the people we serve.

Unfortunately, only 35% of the residents we serve took our request for financial help seriously. We ask those of you who don't feel it necessary to participate in the fund drive to consider what it would be like to dial 911 and be told that there is nobody available to help. A VOLUNTEER fire department does not run on water alone. We ask that you give this serious thought and contribute in any way you can to the 2010 Fund Drive. We understand that many families have serious budget constraints. Nevertheless, we would appreciate a donation in any amount that your family can afford. And remember, every donation is tax deductible. It's never too late to donate - donations are accepted throughout the year.

Enclosed is a brochure that will give you an insight into our department and hopefully stimulate you into thinking about how you might contribute your time and talent as well.

Finally, a special thanks to our neighbors and friends in Millcreek for their loyal support over the past year... welcome back to Lake Shore.

The officers and members of the Lake Shore Fire Department would again like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have supported us in the past and look forward to your continuing support this year.
